Overview
In 2021, we took on a Shopify project for a client with the goal of improving the speed of their website and adding new templates to meet their marketing needs. As part of the project, we were responsible for installing and maintaining various plugins on the website to enhance its functionality. Through our efforts, we were able to improve the website's performance and help the client achieve their goals.
Problem
Fitcover, a client we worked with, was encountering several challenges with their Shopify store. A key issue was the lack of expertise to handle and modify the theme they had purchased from ThemeForest, restricting their ability to customize the website for their marketing needs due to the theme's limitations.
Additionally, the store's page speed was a significant concern. Despite installing the PageFly app to address this issue, it proved insufficient to meet their needs, resulting in persistently slow loading times, which was detrimental to user experience and risked driving customers away.
To tackle these challenges, we collaborated with Fitcover to modify their theme and enhance the store's page speed. Our efforts led to the creation of a more user-friendly and efficient website, aligning better with the client's requirements and aiding them in achieving their business objectives.
Solution
When we started working on this Shopify project, the client was facing several issues with their website, including the presence of unnecessary codes in the website's scripts, which were hindering the page loading times.
To address this, our first step was to remove the unneeded codes and streamline the website's scripts, enhancing the website's performance and making it more user-friendly.
We then focused on updating and refining the client's Shopify templates, aiming to make them visually more appealing and unique. Additionally, we created reusable sections to simplify the process for the client to update and manage their website.
Another critical need was enabling the client to accept subscription payments on their website. To facilitate this, we installed the Boost upselling plugin. This tool allowed the client to offer subscription packages to their customers and made the payment process more efficient.
Overall, these improvements significantly enhanced the client's website, aligning it more closely with their business needs and objectives.
